CoppaFeel! has never stood still.
From a bold idea around a kitchen table to one of the UK's most recognised health charities, we have continued to challenge convention, reach young people with a life saving message and build a community that believes breast cancer does not need to be diagnosed late.
They are now entering an exciting new chapter.
After a period of exceptional growth, CoppaFeel! has the opportunity to broaden our reach, deepen our impact and invest in the future. Our challenge now is not simply to become bigger but become more strategic, resilient and sustainable, while protecting the authenticity, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that makes CoppaFeel! distinctive.
That is why we are looking for a new Fundraising Trustee to join their Board.
This is an opportunity to help shape what comes next for CoppaFeel! — bringing your experience, perspective and constructive challenge to a Board that is ambitious about the difference we can make.
What's it like on the Board?
The Board has been described as lively, collaborative, respectful, energetic, creative and curious.
The feedback we have received is that members find the experience enjoyable, challenging, rewarding, energising and nourishing.
There is healthy debate and everyone has a voice. We want Trustees who will contribute their expertise, listen to different perspectives and be willing to challenge thinking when they believe something could be better. The Board has a strong relationship with the Executive Team, with openness and trust at its heart. Trustees are expected to provide strategic support and constructive challenge, while giving the Executive Team the space to lead and deliver.
We are also determined to grow without losing what makes CoppaFeel! special — our personality, authenticity, entrepreneurial spirit and the legacy of our founder Kris.
Time commitment
Trustees meet quarterly. Meetings are usually around 2.5 hours and are currently held between 10am and 12.30pm.
There will also be some additional time commitment for meeting preparation, committee involvement and occasional advice or support between meetings.
Trustees are unremunerated, although reasonable travel expenses can be claimed.
Trustees serve an initial three-year term and may be eligible for reappointment for further terms, subject to the charity’s governing arrangements.
Who are we looking for?
This isn't about reviewing fundraising reports every quarter and ticking a few boxes. It's about helping shape how one of the UK's most innovative charities build sustainable income for the next decade.
As CoppaFeel! continues to grow, diversify income and invest in greater impact, fundraising will become increasingly central to strategic decision making.
We're looking for someone who can bring insight, constructive challenge and strategic thinking to Board discussions, helping ensure fundraising remains ambitious, sustainable and aligned to our mission.
We are keen to hear from candidates who bring the below:

Growing high value fundraising — philanthropy, major giving or corporate partnerships

Building long term strategic relationships with major partners or supporters

Unlocking commercial or transformational income opportunities

Diversifying income portfolios and reducing reliance on any single stream

Advising Boards or Executive Teams on fundraising strategy, investment and risk
